Day 2 - Aberfoyle to Callander

Setting off from Aberfoyle for this 9.2 mile walk to Callander

Some interesting Aberfoyle history:

A Rob Roy Walk waypost
 Malling Forest
Tika and a pile of logs
 What plant is this ?!

What plant is this ?!
 Towards the stile

Wild Thyme with its pinky purple flowers and aromatic fragrance of lemon - often found like this on paths, rocky surfaces etc:
 Log cutting
Towards the Lochan
 Lochan

Daisies and looking across at the fishing boat house.
Giant hogweed plants growing near the water exit of the lochan
Looking down towards Loch Venachar where the walk leads down to from here

Some camping spots and arrangements for camping - nice places - some picnic tables etc.

And then finally we walked to Callander - the Rob Roy Way route goes via Coillichan woods.
Callander has numerous cafes, shops and restaurants. For a dog friendly one we usually go to Café Circa but there is lots of choice.
